BISMARCK, N.D. - Bismarck outdoor ice skating rinks are finally being frozen after the warm temperatures we received earlier this month.
The Parks and Recreation department is freezing the rinks with multiple coats of water hoping to open up a few rinks by Thursday.
Tatley Eagles ice rink in Bismarck is scheduled to open for skaters Wednesday.
"We did have a few people that tried this weekend on some of the thinner sheets, we can see some skate marks this morning. But, we'd encourage people to be patient and let us get the rinks going and everything would be that much better later on this year," said Dave Mayer, Bismarck Parks and Rec operations director.
