Bismarck mayor recall results being challenged

BISMARCK, N.D. - The effort to recall Bismarck Mayor Mike Seminary isn’t over.

Last month Bismarck City Administrator Keith Hunke said there were invalid signatures on a petition to recall Seminary.

However, a motion was filed Friday in South Central District court challenging the results.

Charles Tuttle is listed as the plaintiff. He is one of the signature gatherers for the recall.

Tuttle wants the city to show proof of authority in determining his residency status in the city of Bismarck.

The signatures he gathered were deemed invalid by a Bureau of Criminal Investigation report questioning whether or not he was a resident of Bismarck.
