BISMARCK, N.D. - A Bismarck man stabbed and killed a dog after it attacked a dog and another man.

Bismarck police say they responded to the 1600 Block of Pocatello Drive around 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The two male victims told police they were walking their dog when another dog crawled from under a fence and attacked their dog.

Police say the two men tried to separate the dogs and when they did the dog bit one of the men on the wrist and wouldn't let go.

When the dog wouldn't release one of the men the other man pulled a pocket knife out and stabbed the dog, killing it.

Charges have been forwarded to the city attorney.

Police say the dog that was killed was a German Shepherd mix and the dog that survived was a breed of Eskimo.
