BISMARCK, N.D. - A Bismarck man is in custody after attempting to sell a zip-lock bag of grass clippings as marijuana.

Police say they responded to the 2400 block of East Main Avenue Wednesday morning after a woman told dispatch a man was attempting to sell her marijuana.

Authorities made contact with the 29-year-old suspect and after agreeing to be searched, police found a bag in his pocket.

After inspection of the substance they discovered it was grass clippings that could be easily mistaken for marijuana.

He was arrested for intent to deliver imitation of a controlled substance.
