BISMARCK, ND - Easter Sunday marks the end of Lent for Christian families... And a day that they observe in and out of church.
Families across Bismarck-Mandan are celebrating the day in a variety of ways.
Of the more than 80 churches in Bismarck- Mandan, many of them were packed today for Sunday service and easter egg hunts for children.
According to the National Retail Federation, more than 80 percent of US adults celebrate Easter.
Restaurants around town served special Sunday brunch buffets for those who prefer to eat out on the holiday.
There are also those who opt for dinner at home with extended family.
Whether it's a meal, church, or getting chocolate, Easter means something different for everyone, from toddlers to adults.
"It really means, the celebration and resurrection of Christ. That's what's most important. But it's also a day to spend with family," said the Hovlands.
