Bismarck Vets honored

BISMARCK Our servicemen and women put their lives on the line for us every day. Sometimes putting careers and family life on hold. Saturday is when we honor that sacrifice.

Bismarck Veterans celebrated at the North Dakota Heritage Center. Hundreds turned out to share their stories, be recognized, and to remember the fallen. We asked Ted Heggastad, the VFW Post 1326 Commander, what he thinks of the festivities.

"As a veteran it just humbles me because the community here supports the veterans. Just time and time again with all of the programs, state programs, city programs, and programs that the different organizations hold supporting the veterans that need the help. Supporting there families too," said Heggastad
