Bismarck Police officer injured in squad car crash

BISMARCK, N.D. - An overnight squad car crash has left an officer with minor injuries.

The Bismarck Police Department says the crash happened at about 2 a.m. on the 300 Block of North 7th St.

Police say the police car was going South on 7th by East Rosser when another car going Westbound drove through red flashing lights.

The cars collided and officers say the vehicles both had damages.

The driver of the squad car was treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital.

Police say the woman who crashed into the squad car was arrested for DUI and cited for failure to stop at a red light.
