While some of the Bismarck Police Department officers were training Wednesday, they posed for a photo, which was posted on the Bismarck Police Department's social media accounts. It's in response to a post from the Gainesville Police Department in Florida, which posted a photo of three of its officers while helping Hurricane Irma victims. The post went viral and while officers in Bismarck were talking about it this morning, they decided to respond with a picture of their own.
“We reply a lot on Twitter to different places and just kinda have some fun with departments that we've never been to or don't have a connection to,” BPD Officer Lynn Wanner said. “It's just nice to get that camaraderie going across the country sometimes.”
Wanner says they're trying to lend a little bit of humor, to what is a stressful situation for officers in Florida.
