Bismarck Police Chief Dan Donlin announces retirement

BISMARCK, N.D. - KFYR-TV has learned that Bismarck Police Chief Dan Donlin is announcing his retirement.

Donlin sent out a letter to the department Tuesday, saying he plans to leave his post between June and September 2018.

He also thanked his officers for their work.

Donlin has been with Bismarck PD for nearly 30 years, and took over as chief in 2013.
