Bismarck Fire Department responds to structure fire on Avenue C East

BISMARCK, ND - The Bismarck Fire Department responded to a structure fire on the 2400 block of Avenue C East in Bismarck around 11:30 this morning.

After confirming the family of five, two dogs and a cat, were safe, fifteen firefighters started putting out the fire according to a press release. MDU officials secured the home's utilities.

Authorities say the fire started into the storage shed and spread to the garage, but didn't make it into the living area.

The family will be displaced, the department says, but fortunately no one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
