MINOT, N.D A birthday celebration at Washington Elementary School Friday paid tribute to the one and only, Dr. Seuss.

More than 150 students received a brand new Dr. Seuss book, all thanks to the Souris Valley United Way.

Before the United Way handed out the books, the students heard a reading of "There's A Wocket in my Pocket," and joined in on saying some of Dr. Seuss' wacky words.

Danielle Rued with United Way says that the books brought for students have been collected and saved for this special day.

"One thing we want to do is thank everyone who donated a book to Barnes and Noble over the Christmas holiday, because that's what we did with these books; we saved them for this special day. We had a lot of books go out during the holiday and we still had so many more that we wanted to just save for Dr. Seuss day and celebrate," Rued said.
