Biking and pedestrian plan presented to City Commission

BISMARCK, N.D. - The Bismarck and Mandan communities are making walking and biking a priority.

The Mandan City Commission was given a plan on how to make both activities easier. Recommendations include building new bike paths, creating ordinances about biking and sidewalks and extra police patrol around trails.

"Right now most police departments don't have a lot of resources to go out in any great extent and patrol the bike paths,” said Commissioner Dennis Rohr.

The proposed paths would create more connections between Bismarck and Mandan using current paths as well as building new ones.
