BISAMRCK, N.D. - The Bismarck School Board has a new member that will be serving for 10 months.

Jon Lee will be serving as an interim school board member.

He was selected at Monday night's meeting out of 12 candidates.

Lee has three children in the Bismarck Public Schools system.

He is the owner of Bread Poets Baking Company.

Lee says he looks forward to addressing issues such as re-zoning, border changes, and the potential closing of elementary schools.

"People that have a local elementary school that's strong and vibrant, and that they believe in. That's how I was when I grew up in this city. So I understand those issues. I'll fight to find good solutions," Lee said.

He plans to run for an elected position on the board next summer.
