BISMARCK, N.D. - An Arkansas man involved in a sex scandal with a minor was arrested by U.S. Marshall’s in North Dakota Monday morning.

Arkansas court records say 26-year-old Cory Oxford from Van Buren, Ark., is charged with two counts of rape and one count of transportation of minors for prohibited sexual conduct.

Records show the incidents happened from August 2014 to May 2015, and it involved a minor under the age of 14.

Court documents also show Oxford was not working alone. He was the accomplice of another man who was sentenced to 80 years in prison for sexual assault and transportation of minors for prohibited sexual conduct, Michael Ray Roe.

The affidavit ties in a third suspect, Weston James Bailey. He was sentenced to 48 months of probation for sexual indecency with a child.

Bailey admitted to working with Oxford and Roe and paying a minor for engaging in sexual acts more than five times on separate occasions. The minor told police he had just turned 13-years-old when the incidents happened and Roe said he would kill him if he didn’t comply.

Oxford could face more than 20 years and a fine between $15,000 and $100,000.
