MINOT, N.D KMOT's annual toy drive with the Minot Area Homeless Coalition wrapped up today and it was an incredible success!
The coalition came to the KMOT studio Wednesday to gather the toys for children in need.
This holiday season, people from the Minot community and surrounding areas came out in force to put those in need before themselves.
Thanks to you, more than 500 toys will be distributed to children and teens in need.
On behalf of all of us at KMOT and the Minot Area Homeless Coalition, we want to thank you for your generosity.
"Thank you for your kindness, thank you for thinking about somebody else that you don't even know," said Mac McCleod, Director of the Minot Area Homeless Coalition.
Starting next week, families in need who are interested in toys for the children should contact the coalition and set up an appointment to visit Santa's workshop.
"We're accepting appointments. We will be open from Dec. 18th till 11 o'clock on the 22nd," said McCleod.
This year's drive broke last year's record of donations with more than 500 teddy bears, toy tractors, dolls, and more.
"When I looked in here and saw this I said, 'Wow'. Now there is an option for someone who was not going to have anything for their children to be able to be blessed," said McCleod.
