MINOT, N.D. – A traffic stop over a suspended license in Minot Monday night landed an Alabama man in jail on a series of drug charges.
Investigators say an officer pulled over 33-year-old John Reed, Jr., shortly before 10:30 p.m. The officer learned Reed was driving with a suspended license out of Alabama and had previous violations.
A search of Reed’s SUV revealed methamphetamine, heroin, MDMA, and drug paraphernalia.
Reed told the officer that not all of the items in the car were his but admitted that some were.
Reed made his initial appearance on the charges Tuesday and will be back in court next month. He remains in custody in the Ward County Jail.
Police allowed a passenger in the car to leave the scene following an interview.
