MINOT, N.D.- The U.S. Air Force just announced they will be transitioning from two uniforms to one.

The service will make the move from two different uniforms for garrison and deployment, to a single combat utility uniform.

The new get-up's will have the operational camouflage pattern, which is already in use in many combat zones.

Air Force officials say the new uniforms work well in any climate, but also act as a reminder of the services roll as a joint warfighting force.

The uniforms will only be available at a select number of bases on Oct. 1, 2018, but will become more widely available in April 2019.

The Air Force says they will fully transition to the OPC uniforms April 2021.
