“A Magical Medora Christmas” comes to Mandan

We are officially into the month of December now, which means Christmas is only a few weeks away. And if you aren't in the Christmas spirit yet, this musical straight out of Medora is sure to put you in that mood.

“You can tell from the set that we don't get too far from the Medora theme but it's different from the other two shows we've done and what you'll see in Medora,” Wild West Prestidigtator Bill Sorensen said.

Christmas classics and some originals thrown in, the group is packing in 27 shows in four weeks.

“It's a grueling schedule, it really is but it’s the Christmas season so you get renewed and refreshed and you kinda feed off the audience every night,” Sorensen said.

And it’s a tougher schedule compared to three years ago when the Christmas musical first started, expanding outside North Dakota to Montana, Minnesota and South Dakota and more than doubling the number the shows.

“I think that it'll just keep getting bigger and it will grow kind of beyond what our little mom and pop thing is right now,” Queen of the West Emily Walter said. “And I think that's magnificent because we want to get people to Medora and we want to get Medora to the people.”
