56-year-old woman being held on a $51,000 bond after leading authorities on high-speed chase

BISMARCK, N.D. - Fifty-six-year-old Jerelyn Kordonowy is being held on a $51,000 cash bond after leading authorities on a high-speed chase through three counties.

The charges against her in Mercer and Morton counties include attempted murder, reckless endangerment, and fleeing a police officer.

Authorities say on Monday Kordonowy was driving recklessly North on Highway 49.

They say when a Beulah Police Officer followed her, she turned around and nearly hit him and his vehicle.

This is when he fired at her vehicle, and law enforcement eventually stopped her on 1-94 in Bismarck.
