500 N.D. swan hunting licenses left over after lottery

BISMARCK, N.D. - More than 500 swan hunting licenses are still available after this year's lottery.

North Dakota's Game and Fish Department says only those without a swan license for the 2017 season can apply, because hunters are only allowed to have one per year.

The leftover licenses will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Sept. 6.

Swan hunting season starts Sept. 30 and runs through the end of the year.
