BISMARCK, N.D. - After hitting a vehicle at 100 miles per hour and killing a passenger, a Bismarck woman will spend 10 years in prison.

Nineteen-year-old Alexus Hankinson injured the driver and killed the passenger in that vehicle last October in Bismarck.

Prosecutors say Hankinson had a blood alcohol content of 0.19 after the crash.

Before the crash, a police officer tried to pull Hankinson over for going 70 in a 35 mile per hour zone, but gave up pursuit when it became a danger to the public.

Hankinson will also serve five years probation and undergo an alcohol dependency evaluation.
