17-year-old charged in accidental shooting in Dickinson

Dickinson, N.D. - A 17-year-old boy has been charged with reckless endangerment after accidentally shooting a 15-year-old boy at a Dickinson residence early Friday morning.

The Dickinson Police Department says just before 1 a.m., the 17-year-old was recklessly brandishing a loaded handgun when it fired, hitting the 15-year-old victim.

The victim's friends took him to CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson and he was later transferred to Bismarck with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident is still under investigation.
