13-year-old New Salem student cited after second shooting threat at school

NEW SALEM, N.D. - The Morton County Sheriff’s Office says they cited a 13-year-old New Salem-Almont High School student for terrorizing after responding to a second shooting threat Tuesday.

The school was put on lockdown at about 2:30 p.m. when a graffiti message was found on the bathroom wall stating there would be a school shooting.The message was similar to the one from Dec. 1.

The school immediately suspended the student until she appears in juvenile court.

No weapons were found.
