Agnew NSIC Athlete of the Year | Video

Melissa Agnew is the Northern Sun Conference women`s track athlete of the year. Agnew records in the mile and the thousand meters. Earlier this month we asked Head Coach Mile Thorson about his super senior.

"Her goal is to win a national championship and she`s certainly capable of it right now. She`s the number one ranked miler. Our distance medley that she anchored at Iowa State is also ranked number one in the country so obviously we`re looking at some good thins at the national meet but that`s just on paper you got to do it but she`s certainly capable of at least being a contender," he said.

Thorson was also selected by his peers as the Women`s Indoor Coach of the Year in the conference for the third straight season.
