In professional sports you build through the draft. In college football you build with recruiting. You have to convince an athlete their best chance to play while getting an education is with your school. The end result of the recruiting effort can be seen on Signing Day, and for NCAA universities, that day is today.

The University of Mary received commitments from 27 kids, 14 of them are from North Dakota and the majority of those are from Bismarck-Mandan,

"Our first stops are always going to be a one tank of gas stop," said Marauders head coach Myron Schulz. "And obviously the best football in the state was arguable played here last year with the state champion and state runner-up was in Bismarck, North Dakota and the west is very good."

From the AAA state champion Bismarck High Demons: Ben Jolliffe, Nick Kottre and Bronte Liggins.

From the Century Patriots: Brennan Doan, Daniel Murphy and Riley Riehl.

Also signing a letter of intent are North Dakota athletes Seth Ewoniuk from Heart River, Mark Muscha of Beulah, Brock Pittsley from Killdeer, Va-Shawn Pope of G.F. Red River and Craig Kyllo from Northern Cass. Nick Larson from Selby, SD has also committed to the Marauders.
