This winter, Kubik is trying to help the Titans earn a trip to the state "B." He plays center for the Trinity basketball team and he says one sport helps the other.
"I guess in football you`re doing footwork and I guess that kind of carries on into basketball and we`re staying in shape throughout the whole season so I feel that carries over."
Trinity has an all-state caliber player in Jacob Volk, but the Titans always want to get the ball inside to guys like Kubik.
"Inside-out offense when, basically, we want the post to get a touch every time and we wheel our offense runs smoothly, more smoothly, when we get post touches. When you can kick out and score throughout the years, what`s something Trinity has had success doing, and if we can continue doing that we`ll do pretty well," Kubik said.
The Titans are doing well. They`ve been rated in the top five all season long and their only loss this winter is to number one Beulah.
The new Class B polls come out tonight.
