Marauders Basketball Florida Bound | Video

While many plan to be home for Thanksgiving, the University of Mary men`s basketball team will be heading to Florida on Thursday. The Marauders have one last travel-trip before the start of the conference season.

U-Mary has played a collection of Division One, D-2 and NAIA teams so far in the pre-season, with mixed results.

"Just be more consistent defensively. I think our returners know what we need to do on the defensive end but just getting those first two or three guys off the bench to make sure that we are not losing anything on the defensive end and I felt like we did that a little bit in our first two games. We started out well and then we just didn`t have the same energy coming off the bench so we need to have that if we want to proceed," said coach Jevin Budde.

The Marauders will play games in Lakeland, Florida on Friday and Saturday. U-Mary is 1-1 following a pair of exhibition games to open the season. The conference starts on December 1.
