"When it comes to the WDA tounrment, you see those teams 2-3 times throuhgout the season and so they did a job analyzing who they were playing and what they needed to do and they did a good job of thinking what we`ve worked on at practice with communication and ball control and those were two key factors as well and we served really well as well," said coach Sara Bohrer.
The Patriots lost just one set in their three matches in the WDA tournament including sweeping second seed Jamestown.
"Jamestown game, I`ve never seen us play like that. We showed up and all played like it was perfect. If we click like that we`ll have a chance at state," said senior Courtney Kessler.
"I think we were all just mentally prepared and we came to play and we played as a team and it really helped us play our best," said senior Hannah Larson.
The Patriots match is at 6:00 on Thursday. Bismarck gets it started against the defending champions from Red River. The Blue Jays face the Packers, while the Midgets go against Shanley in the last game of the day.
