Fargo Shanley is after it`s fourth straight trip to the championship game. Beulah beat Wahpeton in the snow in the opening round.
"Probably the biggest thing is our defense got going a little bit better and our offense we weren`t on offense for long stretches there in the first quarter and early part of the second so we made a couple of adjustments defensively and I think the biggest thing is our guys just played better, played their responsibility better," said head coach Jim Dooley.
The Miners were ranked third in the final poll, while the Deacons were number one. To make things a little more difficult, the game will be in Fargo.
"They`re a running powerhouse everybody says and they`re going to run it up the gut I guess our defensive line and middle linebackers have to stop them," said senior Mark Muscha.
"Just go out and play like we did in the second half against wahpeton. We played hard and with a lot of emotion, intensity and we were really focused," said senior Trevor Zacher.
It`s a 2:30-start at Cid Cichy Stadium. Beulah is looking for it`s first trip to the Dakota Bowl since 2005.
