Bagnell Out With An Injury | Video

Lee Timmerman | 9/26/2012

It was not the news the University of Mary football team was hoping to hear this week. Quarterback Craig Bagnell will not be able to play this week. The leading passer in the Northern Sun was injured on Saturday against Winona State and he is on the Marauders physically unable to perform list.

"We prepare our two`s. We prepare our three`s. Everyone is preparing all of the time. It`s one of the things we learned from the New Orleans saints a long time ago. They don`t call it an emotional game plan and it has three phases. One was believing in the power of one. Two was persist until you succeed and three was exactly that, next man up and he has to be ready to step in and the team can`t miss a beat," said head coach Myron Schulz.

The next man up for the Marauders at quarterback is redshirt freshman Zach Roberson. After the injury, Bagnell missed one snap and finished the game.

On Saturday Night, U-Mary plays at Minot State. It`s a game we invite you to watch live on NBC North Dakota Sports.
