Bobcats Home Opener | Video

Lee Timmerman | 9/20/2012

The Bobcats played four games in four days last week at the Showcase to get the season started. But for the Home fans, it starts this week. The Cats play in Bismarck for the first time tomorrow.

They went 1 and 3 in Minnesota, but Head Coach Layne Sedevie says it could have been a little better than the record shows.

"A few things did not go our way. We had three penalty shots in two games against us and that`s pretty uncommon but it was nice for us because we hadn`t been on the ice a bunch before the showcase and to get the guys acclimated to certain lines and really found out how these guys are going to really do in a regular season game."

The Bobcats schedule is once again loaded with games within the division, but there are a few non-division games sprinkled in there as well

"We play enough of the central during the year and to get a little different flavors at the showcase and especially our home opener this year against Fresno and followed by Wenatchee so two very good teams and it should be a lot of fun the first two weeks here," Sedevie said.

Once again this year, the games at the VFW Sportscenter are scheduled to start at 7:15.
