The high school golf season started with Fargo Davies winning the East-West Classic in Jamestown earlier this week. The conference schedule for the girls starts tomorrow and when the West Region girls tee-it-up, Bismarck`s coach Alexa Dvorak says the team she used to play for will be the team to beat.

"The WDA looks like Century`s going to be winning probably every tournament. They`re the team and they have some good girls playing Alex Leidholm, Lindsay Reede and a couple other girls. They`re good players and I think they`ll be very tough."

Dvorak says the Davies win in the East-West was no fluke, the Eagles will be solid all season long.

"They are very much so the team to beat this year. I think Century will make a good run at them at state."

Davies is the defending state champion, while Century finished fourth. The Patriots are hosting the conference opener tomorrow at Tom O`Leary in Bismarck.
