Lee Timmerman | 8/16/2012

When the Bismarck Demons open the football season next week, they will do so without their head coach on the sideline. Mark Gibson is on temporary leave of absence for a few weeks.

Gibson says he is dealing with personal and family matters plus he has a health issue to take care of. D.J. Colby will be the Demons acting head coach in Gibson`s absence.

Bismarck is the defending Triple-"A" state champion and it plays at West Fargo on the 24th.
