The defending national champion NDSU Bison are getting unprecedented TV treatment this season in partnership with NBC North Dakota Sports.
The 3-year broadcast deal was officially announced Tuesday.
You`ll be able to see 9 of NDSU`s 11 regular season games on the entire NBC North Dakota Sports network of stations including KMOT. Each game will also feature a 30 minute pregame show and once again the Craig Bohl coach`s show will air Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m.
"Well I think it`s huge. It`s been a vision for our department," Bohl says. "We certainly appreciate the NBC affiliates across the state. Any time you can garner not only state, but regional exposure, that just helps promote our program. Many years ago people thought it would hurt ticket sales. In fact, we think it`s driven ticket sales. It`s a little bit of the Atlanta Braves factor."
Former Valley News Live weekend sports anchor Brian Shawn will handle play-by-play duties. He`ll be joined in the booth by Lee Timmerman and former Bison quarterback Kevin Feeney. Fargo native and former Stanford QB Chris Berg will work the sidelines.
