That`s the question the Bottineau Braves are asking.
When you graduate a first team all-state quarterback and first team all-state wide receiver, there are definitely gaps to fill.
The Braves will lean on line play to make up the difference.
Pretty much all of Bottineau`s offensive and defensive linemen are back.
So is the team`s starting tailback.
"They`ve been playing together since they were sophomores," head coach Rob Bedlion says. "They were kind of forced into service as sophomores - we didn`t have a lot of guys in those positions. And so when you get that kind of familiarity and comfort level with each other, you start seeing a lot of benefits from that."
"We gotta step it up quite a bit," senior lineman Vince Bechtold says. "We can`t be relying on our speciality guys to make all the big plays. It`s gonna be up front for us."
The Braves season starts Tuesday against Class A squad W-N-G.
