He came up with this clever YouTube video explaining to Kate why she should take him up on his offer and tweeted her. To his surprise, Kate tweeted back at him! Essentially saying, "maybe." This bold move landed him on the Today Show where he got the surprise of his life.
It`s still unclear if she said yes or not, since she still has to check her schedule, but I`ll definitely be following this story to see.
Trending locally, Dreams in Motion is throwing a double fundraiser this weekend. They`re a nonprofit organization, allowing kids from ages two, all the way up to 24 the opportunity to participate in all kinds of sports. This weekend, they’re holding a Zumbathon and a silent auction trying to raise money so they can buy the necessary equipment to keep these kids playing. Volunteers and board members say, this organization is important because sports in general are important to any kid.
Vice President of the Dreams in Motion board, Jennie Kuller said, "Any kind of activity, extracurricular activity, whether it be sports or another type of activity like dance, can offer a child so much. And it`s something for a family to do together and I think our title dreams in motion is so appropriate because some of the parents of our kids with disabilities or physical impairments, never dreamt that they would be sitting at a sporting event watching their kids and cheering their child on."
I also got to speak to a Dreams in Motion athlete, Aggie Gietzen. "Dreams in Motion is really important to me. I get to play out there and I love the action. And even though I`m in a wheel chair, I look forward to playing with the other athletes."
If you`d like to participate in this weekend`s events, just visit their website for all you need to know! www.dreamsinmotioninc.com. I`d also like to point out that you don`t have to Zumba to participate in the auction, or vice versa.
