Kiefer Pleads Not Guilty to Burleigh County Charges

A Morton County man accused of starving horses to death earlier this year has entered a not guilty plea to Burleigh County charges. William Kiefer had been scheduled to appear in court this morning. Instead, he entered a written not guilty plea yesterday to four counts of mistreating animals.

His next appearance is scheduled in April. Kiefer also faces charges in Morton County.
