Babies At Work | Video

As a parent, you`ll do just about anything for your child. Even if that means bringing your child into work if you have no other option.

"What choice do you have?" said Jenny Robb.

As a mother of three, Robb has experienced the daycare shortage firsthand.

"A lot of jobs don`t allow for children to be there," said LaVonne Beyerle, Director at ABC Childcare Centers.

So, Robb had to get creative when it came to mixing family and work.

"I`m able to bring them to work with me if I absolutely have to because I`m part owner."

But, not everybody has that option.

"We`ve had so many daycare start up and quit that it`s hurt the parents so much because they`ll start and their kids will love somebody and all of a sudden it`s gone," said Beyerle.

In order for parents to balance family and work, more and more moms are trying to bring their children into the office.

"So, if the employers would do this for them, it would make it a lot more stable for them," said Beyerle.

In a daycare setting, employers are open to the idea of allowing their employees to bring their children to work. However, other companies may not welcome their children into the business environment.

"When you have people coming into the office and you have to deal with a baby crying in the background. And, she needs you. And, of course, your mom instincts kicks in. But, you are at work, you have to work. I have a responsibility to my company," said Robb.

Robb took her own personal experience into account and is enforcing it into her own business. She believes kids are a distraction at work, but welcomes the idea of a child coming into the office if it`s absolutely necessary.

Beyerle allows some of her employees to bring their children to work as long as it does not take away from their responsibilities in the work environment.
