Arrest in Williston Bomb Case | Video

Chris Williams | 3/14/2013

Williston police have made an arrest in connection with a bomb scare Thursday morning. Jordan Poindexter, 21, is charged with trying to make a bomb. Officers say a worker in a building along 26th street found a duffle bag containing materials that could be used to make a bomb. Police, fire and emergency crews responded to the building around 9:00 a.m.

A Hazardous Devices Unit from Minot used robots to search the building for any other materials, but didn`t find anything.

"It`s not like we deal with this day to day, so that`s the hard thing." say Detective Cory Collings of the Williston Police Department. "I can`t even remember the last time that the bomb squad was called to the Williston area for anything, so I can`t really say one way or another how long it`s going to take."

Williston Police say this is an isolated incident.
