The doors open at 9:00 a.m., and there will be plenty of different booths to check out. Home improvement venders, construction vender, and even one vender who will be demonstrating how to cook without water.
"Water dissolves away flavor, nutrition, the excessive heat gets rid if nutrition, and color. It`s less appealing to the eye, and less appealing to the taste buds," said Exclusive Home Products employee Michael Firkus.
According to nutritionists, cooking vegetables without water saves 95 percent of the vegetables nutrition. Economart will be supplying the food for the demonstrations.
"People who take in the demonstration get to taste our food, and they can also have a free paring knife, complementary gift from the company," Firkus added.
McCody Concrete is returning to the farm and ranch show. They will, of course, have concrete, but that`s not all.
"We`re going to feature some of the overhead door division of our business. Concrete feed bunks for the farmers, concrete, any kind of building supplies that they may be possibly looking for in this upcoming building season," said employee Bob Horab.
Horab enjoys coming to the Farm and Ranch Show because it gives people the opportunity to see all the different things McCody has to offer.
"We`re expanding that every year it seems like we`re taking in more products, and stuff that people can use," added Horab.
A newcomer to the Farm and Ranch Show is Northwestern Mutual. They work with individuals to help plan their financial futures.
"On the personal side we can some financial for retirement, for education planning, for some estate planning down the road. To benefit either themselves or their heirs," said Financial Representative Zach Fleck.
Northwestern Mutual also works with businesses.
"On the business side we can take a look at some business insurances. Your health insurance, your dental, vision, the basic staples of a benefit plan, and see if their current plan is competitive based on what`s out there," Fleck added.
And of course Chief Meteorologist Kevin Lawrence and Off the Beaten Path reporter Cliff Naylor will be speaking.
