Waiver to be Reviewed

| 2/11/2013

North Dakota’s flexibility waiver application of certain provisions of the No Child Left Behind Act will be reviewed by the U.S. Secretary of Education. The flexibility waiver application was originally submitted in September of last year with a revision submitted on December 27, 2012.

The application seeks to release the state from certain accountability provisions within No Child Left Behind in exchange for state-developed plans designed to improve educational outcomes for all students, close achievement gaps, increase equity and improve the quality of instruction.
