No Travel Advisory extended south of Jamestown and Valley City

NDDOT | 2/10/2013

The North Dakota Department of Transportation has expanded the No Travel Advisory to include the cities of Ellendale, Edgeley, Oakes, Litchville and surrounding areas due to snow and blowing snow causing near zero visibility. In addition, a Travel Alert has been issued for the areas of Grand Forks, Drayton and Cavalier due to snow causing slippery roads and reduced visibility.

Motorists are reminded of the following warnings that have already been issued:

I-29 is closed from Fargo to the North Dakota/South Dakota border, and ND Highway 13 from Wahpeton to I-29 due to heavy snow and blowing snow causing near zero visibility and dangerous driving conditions. In addition, I-29 in South Dakota is closed from ND/SD border south to Watertown.

No Travel Advisory remains in effect for areas in the southeast region of North Dakota including east of Valley City, Fargo, Wahpeton and surrounding areas.

A Travel Alert remains in effect for west of Valley City and the Jamestown areas.
