Minot Man Charged with Attempted Murder | Video

A man wanted in connection with a weekend shooting incident is now behind bars. Brian Keith Muzzy, 31, of Minot was wanted on attempted murder charges after he allegedly shot his roommate Sunday evening.

The Ward County Sheriff’s Department says the shooting happened at the Holiday Park Trailer Court on Highway 2, just east of Minot. Muzzy and his roommate got into some sort of argument.

"A witness in the scene indicated that he saw the subject who allegedly shot the victim, and he left the scene eastbound on foot," said Ward County Sheriff’s Department Captain Robert Barnard.

Muzzy was taken into custody this afternoon after surrendering to law enforcement.

Muzzy’s roommate was taken to Trinity Hospital with a gunshot wound to his stomach. No word on his condition.

Captain Bernard says the firearm used in the shooting has not yet been found.
