No Travel Advisory Lifted for North Central and Northwest ND, Travel Alert Still in Effect

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) have LIFTED the No Travel Advisory for the northwest and north central regions of the state including the cities of Minot, Devils Lake, Williston and surrounding areas.

However, a No Travel Advisory remains in effect for the northeast region of the state including the cities of Grand Forks, Drayton, Cavalier and surrounding areas due to snow and blowing snow with areas of near zero visibility making driving hazardous. Conditions are such that Motorists should not travel.

A Travel Alert is in effect for Minot, Dickinson, Bismarck, Jamestown, Devils Lake, Valley City, Fargo, Wahpeton and surrounding areas due to areas of blowing snow and reduced visibility. Conditions are such that motorists can still travel in these areas, but should be advised that conditions could change rapidly in the evening hours. Motorists are encouraged to reduce speeds and drive according to the conditions.

All travelers are encouraged to monitor road conditions, reduce traffic speeds as weather conditions occur and use caution while traveling. For road information, call 511 from any type of phone or go to the website: www.dot.nd.gov.
