Cando Man Sentenced on Child Pornography Charges

A Cando man will serve over six years in prison on child pornography charges. Jerry W. Gibson, 46, was sentenced on Monday to serve six years and six months in federal prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release, on a charge of possession of materials involving the sexual exploitation of minors.

According to the U.S. Attorney`s Office, from an unknown time until January of 2012, Gibson had child pornography on his home computer. He pleaded guilty in August of 2012.

In addition to prison, Gibson will also have to register as a sex offender and pay a $100 assessment to the Crime Victim`s Fund.
