Napoleon native Dr. David Braun knows it can be difficult to balance everything in life. He`s taken his experience meeting with friends to discuss fitness, finance, family and more, and turned it into a book. Braun co-authored Oola: Find Balance in an Unbalanced World.

"What it is like the spinning plates stories, like the guy at the circus who`s spinning seven plates. When you notice a plate start to wobble, you come back to that plate, give it a spin. So if your finances aren`t where they need to be this month, you go back to that and work on that again. If your faith isn`t where it wants to be or where it needs to be, you go back and work on your faith," he said.

The book explores how to achieve goals in life, and what often blocks a person from success. It is available online at Amazon or at www.oolabook.com.

A new alternative healing clinic is open in the Gateway Mall. Heupel`s Healing Hands offers Reiki healing. It can enhance medical treatments, reduce side effects and improve healing time as well as promote a positive outlook.

"Some say, `Oh I know somebody who does this or I`ve heard of that.` I tell them this is much of what Jesus and the disciples did, back in the Biblical days. Before then people were laying on hands and healing. This has been around for 10,000 years. This is not a new concept," said Rev. Teresa Heupel.

Heupel opened her office in mid-October, after discovering she has a gift of healing, and taking classes in Reiki.
