Safe Routes to School Accepting Applications for Projects

A program designed to help encourage children to bike and walk to school safely is accepting applications for projects. The North Dakota Department of Transportation`s Safe Routes to School program has funding to help with projects such as building safer street crossings, improving signs, and constructing bike paths or sidewalks. More information can be found at www.dot.nd.gov.

The deadline is February 28. Projects in the Bismarck/Mandan area need to be submitted through the local Metropolitan Planning Organization by February 6.
