Post Office Rush | Video

Julie Leonardi | 12/17/2012

There’s one week left until Christmas and Minot residents are rushing to the post office to get their gifts mailed in time. The parking lot was full and the line was out the door at the post office today. Some people had to wait almost 30 minutes to send their packages. Although employees were doing the best they could, last minute customers continued to file. Some people in line blamed the rush on waiting until the last minute to send their gifts.

Virgil Rud said he waited in line quite awhile. “3:30 in the afternoon and look at the crowd, right to the entrance door.”

Another last minute sender, Gretchen Russell, said, “It goes with the time of the year. I didn’t have to wait until the last minute but procrastination is my middle name!”

Today is the last day to send packages out in order for them to arrive before Christmas.
