Toys for Tots | Video

For nearly ten years, children in need around North Dakota have had presents under the tree on Christmas morning because of the generous donations from strangers. The Toys for Tots program started in 2003 in the state, part of the national organization which has been around since the 70s.

Katie Oliver, who has been helping to coordinate this years efforts, says it`s nice to be able to help others in the community this time of year.

"This being my first year I wasn`t sure entirely what to expect. It`s been really fantastic. Most of the people are really gracious and thankful and appreciative of what we do. Makes the long hours worth it."

If you`ve already registered to receive gifts you can pick them up at the Gateway Mall next to Sears Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
