Flags to be Flown at Half-Staff Tomorrow

Governor Dalrymple has directed all state agencies and is asking all North Dakotans to fly the United States and North Dakota flags at half-staff on Thursday, December 13, in honor of Spc. Tyler Orgaard. Orgaard was killed in action in Afghanistan on December 3.

"Today, we mourn the loss of one of our finest sons and honor Spc. Tyler Orgaard for his valiant service and selfless sacrifice," Dalrymple said. "We honor his memory, applaud his accomplishments and commit ourselves to never forgetting the extraordinary act he performed on our behalf. We will always be grateful to Spc. Orgaard and his family for their service and sacrifice, and they will remain in our hearts and prayers during this time of great sorrow."

Orgaard`s funeral will be held Thursday in Bismarck.
